DELEGATION FROM DORTMUND MET DSTU STUDENT COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES

September, 12, 2018: the delegation from Dortmund, Germany, visited DSTU in order to discuss opportunities for cooperation in work with young people. The visit was organized within the frameworks of twin cities partnership between Rostov-on-Don and the foreign city.

The delegation consisted of Head of Respekt-Büro Stefan Woßmann, the department managers Sebastian Rafael Rüther, Tobias Ceuseanu, Lea Maria Michalski and representatives of Dortmund youth unions – Scharlotte Muche, Kristian Surich, Alexander Schnell.

Don State Technical University was represented by Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs Andrey Mozgovoy, acting Vice-Rector for International Activities Irina Maevskaya, Head of International Cooperation Services Sergey Mescheryakov, acting Head for Youth Affairs and Policy Yulia Kniazeva, Chairman of Student Council Andrey Bgantsev, Chairman of Student Union Dmitry Buklanov.

- DSTU is the flagship university of Rostov region, our graduates are in a high demand at the labor market. The university realizes a lot of programmes for active students in order that they could work in various spheres, - said Andrey Mozgovoy.

The foreign guests got information on the university’s main activities in education, science, culture, international cooperation and student autonomic management. Roman Olkhovsky, Vice-President of “All-Russian student sports union”, met the German delegation. He spoke about volunteer and sports work of the union with Russian youth.

The guests will also make a tour in Rostov-on-Don, visit the Youth Welfare Center of the city, “Russian student crews” regional office, “Rostov-Arena” stadium and will take part in Rostov Day fest.

The twin relationship between Rostov-on-Don and Dortmund was established in 1977. It gave start to friendly relations between administrations of both cities, higher education institutions, schools, cultural, sports and other organizations.
