DSTU STUDENTS CAN TAKE PART IN THE STUDY COURSE DEVELOPED BY PROFESSOR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY
A unique study course "Introduction to Biomedical Materials Science and Biomechanics" headed by Professor of the University of Sydney Michael Swain will be launched at DSTU in new academic year.
The course will include various areas: engineering, biology, biomechanics, mathematical modeling, programming, instrumentation, engineering. Students will be able to choose an individual study process, participate in foreign internships for research and in the current experimental work, work with unique scientific equipment, get a job at DSTU.
Participants will develop a project that they will realize during the year. The student's work project will be conducted under the joint supervision of a DSTU scientist and an external supervisor representing the medical sphere. Researches on the course subject can be supported by the funds of the Government of the Russian Federation megagrant.
For the selected participants, the study course will become a mandatory discipline of the 2019-2020 academic year with an assessment.
Requirement to candidates:
- to be 3rd grade bachelor student studying engineering or natural science;
- to show interest and willingness to research, initiative and motivation;
- to have experience in scientific and/or project activities.
Applications are accepted until April, 26, 2019. The interview with the candidates will be held on April, 29-30, 2019, in the room 2-292.
