VI SOUTH RUSSIAN INTERNATIONAL VETERINARY CONGRESS STARTED AT DSTU
On October 1 – 3, 2020, Don State Technical University hosted the VI South Russian International Veterinary Congress.
DSTU SCIENTISTS STUDIED TOOTH DAMAGE AT THE EARLIEST CLINICALLY VISIBLE STAGE OF CARIES DISEASE
Caries at the earliest stage causes pathological changes not only in the affected tooth enamel, but also in the adjacent structures without visually discernible changes. This conclusion was reached by scientists of Don State Technical University during the study of dental tissuesmechanical and density characteristics. The results of scientific research will be the starting point for development of new methods for diagnosing caries.
EETS CONFERENCE BECOMING ANNUAL EVENT
On June, 16 - 17, 2020, DSTU held the international scientific conference "Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving in Technical Systems" EETS-2020. The head of the organizing Committee of the conference was DSTU rector Besarion Meskhi.
DSTU STUDENTS DEFENDED RESEARCH PROJECTS IN DENTISTRY, OPHTHALMOLOGY AND ORTHOPEDICS
On June 9, 2020 an open final defense of DSTU bachelor students projects in the field of dentistry, ophthalmology and orthopedics was held. Using Zoom online platform, students presented the results of their work on scientific cases to DSTU scientists and representatives of Rostov-on-Don medical community.

Igor Miroshnichenko, head of DSTU Department "Machinery engineering fundamentals ", won the XX all-Russian competition "Engineer of the Year – 2019".

In 2018, a Professor at the University of Sydney, a world-renowned scientist, Michael Swain led a research made by DSTU scientists as a part of work on the megagrant. Scientists of Don State Technical University, Southern Federal University and Stavropol State Agrarian University will develop a veterinary feed additive that will replace antibiotics using in agriculture within the megagrant of the Government of the Russian Federation.
