EXPERTS FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES DISCUSSED PROSPECTS FOR ENGINEERING EDUCATION TRANSFORMATION
On June 30 - July 2, 2020, Don State Technical University hosted an international online conference within the ERASMUS + project "Engineering Educators Pedagogical Training" (ENTER). The event brought together leading experts in QA in engineering education from Russia, Portugal, Slovakia, Estonia, Kazakhstan and other countries.
During the meeting, experts discussed the prospects for engineering education transformation, including criteria for evaluating the quality of the i-PET international network training program for teaching staff of engineering disciplines, etc.
Representatives of the faculties "Agribusiness", "Media Communications and Multimedia Technologies", Institute of Emerging Technologies and Joint Research Laboratory "Engineering in medicine" spoke about the experience of ENTER project implementation at DSTU.

– The project is aimed at one of the most important issues of our days – engineering educators pedagogical training, – said DSTU rector Besarion Meskhi. – Today DSTU is one of the leading Russian universities for engineering education. So it is our priority to make a team of super-educators capable to implement study programmes of the highest quality.

Project "Engineering Educators Pedagogical Training" (ENTER) was selected by the European Commission for grant funding. The coordinator is the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (Portugal). The consortium members are universities and associations from Slovakia, Estonia, Russia and Kazakhstan. The main task of ENTER is to develop and implement a three-level training program for engineering educators based on digital learning technologies.
