DSTU TOOK PART IN THE ALLVET NATIONAL AWARENESS DAY IN KAZAKHSTAN
On March 30, 2021, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Svetlana Shvedova made a welcoming speech at the international conference «ALLVET project: transfer of Bologna process principles and competence-based approach to the system of technical and vocational education by means of efficient alliance of higher and vocational education», which took place within the framework of ALLVET project National Awareness Day in Kazakhstan.
The conference was attended by more than 100 lecturers and employees of universities, vocational education institutions and other educational organizations from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Serbia, as well as representatives of the Erasmus + National Office in Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main topics of the conference were fostering the implementation of the Bologna process tools in the educational environment of vocational and higher education, the role of ALLVET project in improving the system of vocational education, the impact of ALLVET project on enhancement of the activities of colleges.
Irina Maevskaya, Head of the International Education Department DSTU, made a report “Project management in a pandemic”. Svetlana Ponomareva, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Continuing Education DSTU, presented the experience of implementing in DSTU the educational programs ranging from the ones designed for children of 3 years old up to Bachelor's programmes. Her presentation arouse great interest among the conference participants. Maria Sokolova, Director of the Center for International Training and Tuning at DSTU, spoke about the implementation of the Tuning methodology in the educational process: the experience of Don State Technical University.
The participants exchanged experience, the conference became a good platform for high-quality networking and contributed to the establishment and expansion of partnerships with international organizations in the field of education.
