During the meeting with the leaders of Baria-Vungtau University, Besarion Meskhi, DSTU rector, and Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, rector of Vietnam University, reached agreements to expand cooperation in certain spheres. Among such ideas are the implementation of joint degree programs, academic mobility programs, projects in scientific, technical and cultural fields. Besarion Meskhi invited his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Thi Hoi Fuong to come to Rostov-on-Don and our university, where the parties plan to sign a cooperation agreement.
According to Andrei Yatskin, the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, the visit of the Russian delegation to Baria Vungtau province and a meeting with members of the Provincial People's Committee confirms the importance of intentions to develop comprehensive partnership relations at the state level between the Russian Federation and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Nguyen Van Tho, the Chairman of the Baria-Wungtau Provincial People's Committee, supports the willingness to strengthen the interstate cooperation:

“We hope to continue building communication at the regional and state levels, not only in traditional areas, such as the oil and gas industry, but also in other areas of economic, cultural, social development and scientific and technical areas,” Nguyen Van Tho addressed the meeting participants.
