DSTU DELEGATION DISCUSSED COOPERATION WITH EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES AND COMPANIES AT THE INTERNATIONAL BLOCKCHAIN-TECHNOLOGIES SUMMIT
DSTU staff took part in the largest international summit dedicated to BlockChain technologies "Decentralized 2018", held on November, 14 - 16, 2018, in Athens, Greece.
The summit brought together more than 1,200 visitors and 70 speakers from more than 50 countries. Decentralized 2018 participants discussed global trends in the development of BlockChain technology and gave an expert assessment of the technology future.
Don State Technical University delegation consisted of Vice-rector for Academic Affairs and Advanced Degrees Alexey Beskopylniy and Head of Center for Student Initiatives Development Alexey Lysenko. They presented DSTU master's programmes "Smart Systems Based on BlockChain Technology" and "Digital Accounting and Management", discussed partnership prospects with European universities in double degree programmes and joint BlockChain technologies development.
EU Affairs Adviser Angeliki Dedopoulou noted DSTU initiative in BlockChain technology programmes implementing. Chief executive officer of BlockChain Projects BV Annemieke Dirkes offered cooperation to DSTU. In particular, she put forward the idea of developing joint educational programs based on the decentralized industrial-class platform Bitshares. The university delegation also discussed the opportunity to realize the project Tzager with the company Intoolab (London, UK). The Tzager company provides development of machine intelligence that understands the various scientific fields, analyzes, predicts, proposes and adapts the research goals of each team, regardless of their area.
