DSTU AND MEHMET AKIF ERSOY UNIVERSITY HAS PROLONGED THE COOPERATION AGREEMENT
Rectors of the Russian and Turkish universities Besarion Meskhi and Adem Korkmaz agreed to develop cooperation in educational, scientific and cultural spheres, implement academic mobility programmes and participate in projects of Erasmus+ programme.
Cooperation between the universities has started in 2012. The new document confirms partnership between the parties and announces development of student mobility under the Turkish exchange programme Mevlana.
– DSTU and Mehmet Akif Ersoy University have many connections. We shall organize a meeting where working group will discuss possible joint projects and develop a detailed plan for further cooperation, – said Adem Korkmaz.
According to Besarion Meskhi, the signed agreement will be foundation of a strong partnership.
– Education should have no frames. I am pleased that me and my colleague have the same opinions in this matter, – said Besarion Meskhi. – We plan to develop cooperation on academic mobility programmes, students, professors and staff exchange, implement joint projects in the field of education, youth policy and sports.
Signing of the agreement between the universities of Burdur and Rostov-on-Don took place within the international forum "Quality Assurance: EHEA Trends and Innovations", held on August 9-10, 2019, at DSTU.
Mehmet Akif Ersoy University was founded in 2006. The University is located in Burdur in the South-West of Turkey. The takes leading positions in national rankings.
