VIRTUAL OPEN DAY AT DSTU GOT MORE THAN 50 000 VIEWS
In a live broadcast the Executive Secretary of DSTU Admission Committee Alexander Kechemaykin told applicants about upcoming admission campaign changes related to the coronavirus pandemic. DSTU rector Besarion Meskhi conducted a university tour for applicants in a popular computer game Minecraft virtual space.
Virtual open day was held in the official group of DSTU on VK and got more than 50 000 views. DSTU rector, Executive Secretary of Admission Committee and Vice-rectors met students and their parents in a live question-and-answer session. They spoke about the university enrollment campaign, preparatory courses and employment prospects. In total, more than 300 questions were asked by applicants.

– Because of the current situation with the coronavirus pandemic, DSTU will start accepting documents for admission in the beginning of July, - said Alexander Kechemaykin, Executive Secretary of DSTU Admission Committee. – If the situation becomes more complicated, university's Admission Committee will adapt to any conditions to realize contactless documents acceptance.

Deans of faculties spoke about DSTU study programmes and new training formats. Entrants took part in 3D tours in DSTU research laboratories, industrial coworking Garaж and Congress hall.

A tour of DSTU campus in the virtual space of Minecraft got more than 25 000 views. Besarion Meskhi told about the history of the university, shared plans to modernize the campus, and also answered the participants' questions.
The Russian language, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and social studies rapid testing were organized.
