V SOUTH RUSSIAN INTERNATIONAL VETERINARY CONGRESS STARTED AT DSTU
Heads of Russian veterinary services, practicing veterinarians and veterinary business representatives became participants of the largest specialized scientific and educational forum of the South of Russia.
V South Russian International Veterinary Congress is held under the auspices of Russian, European (FECAVA) and World (WSAVA) veterinary associations. The first South Russian International Veterinary Congress was held in Rostov-on-Don in 2013. Since 2015, the event has been given the status of a Federal importance project, it is included in the list of exhibition, fair and congress events held by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Since 2017, it has been held at DSTU.
- DSTU is one of the few Russian universities where veterinary science is really developing. I believe that nowadays work at the university is the best in Russia, – said President of Russian Small Animal Veterinary Association (RSAVA) Sergey Sereda.
The Congress topic is "Cats Diseases". For several days, Russian and foreign scientists will deliver lectures and master classes on various pets diseases.
- DSTU is one of the few universities that trains veterinarians specializing on pets. Here we train specialists who fill the market demand for professionals who provide qualified care for pets, – said Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of DSTU Vladimir Kolodkin.
According to the Head of the Department "Biology and General pathology" Professor Alexey Ermakov, veterinarians need to study long and constantly. At the Congress the best lecturers of the country will share new knowledge about cats diseases with Don veterinarians and students.
As part of the event on October, 3 – 5, 2019, there is an exhibition with: veterinary and medical equipment, pharmacological drugs for treatment and precaution of animal diseases, tools, accessories for pets management, feeding and feed additives, specialized literature.
