Times Higher Education company has developed a new ranking that takes into account universities impact on society. DSTU is included in the group of universities 301+.
THE University Rankings Impact includes 450 universities from 76 countries. The Russian Federation is represented by 29 educational institutions, DSTU takes 22nd place.
– Don State Technical University is included in the group 301+ in the world ranking. DSTU achieved significant results in the following five groups of indicators: "Decent work and economic growth", "Sustainable cities and communities", "Responsible consumption and production", "Climate action", "Peace, justice and strong institutions", – said Head of the DSTU Resource Center of International Affairs Konstantin Polyakov.
The new THE University Impact Rankings is created to identify how universities from around the world are working to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations  General Assembly resolution of September 25, 2015, "Transforming our world: the 2030 agenda for sustainable development". The document is characterized by consistency and balance of all three components of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental. The ranking is based on 11 indicators out of 17 listed in the resolution.
