WORLD-RENOWNED EXPERTS DELIVERED LECTURE FOR DSTU STUDENTS IN ONLINE ZOO ZIMS
On April 7, 2020, Alexander Kantorovich, regional coordinator of Species360 in Eastern Europe, curator of the High Park zoo collection (Israel), offered DSTU Department "Bioengineering and Veterinary Medicine" students to solve cases on the basics of working with wild and zoo animals in online zoo ZIMS.
Also students took part in an online tour of the Southern Bird Park Malinki and got acquainted with the unique collection of zoo inhabitants.
It is planned that an online module will be launched in the next academic year. There veterinary students will study subject "Scientific research in zoos" using the ZIMS program.

ZIMS (Zoological Information Management System) is a global database of animals in aquariums and zoos created by Species360. It contains detailed standardized information about more than 15 500 species. ZIMS is a platform for exchanging experience and information between employees of various Zoological organizations on the planet.
