    Objectives of the educational program in the field of education –   to prepare qualified bachelors for the solution of professional problems in monitoring standards and requirements to production (service), technological processes, supervision with the aim of ensuring the uniformity of measurements, high economic efficiency on the basis of modern methods of quality control, organization, measurement and analysis of the results obtained, to form students ' personal qualities, as well as common cultural universal (General scientific, socio-personal, instrumental) and professional competence in accordance with the requirements of the Federal educational standard of higher education in this field of training.

      A graduate who has mastered the bachelor's program, in accordance with the type of professional activity on which the bachelor's program is oriented, should be ready to solve the following professional tasks:
    production and technological activity:
    - ensuring the implementation of measures to improve the quality of products, to improve metrological support, to develop new and revise existing standards, rules, norms and other documents on standardization, certification, metrological support and quality management;
    - participation in the development in practice of quality management systems;
    - confirmation of the conformity of products, production processes, services, the requirements of technical regulations, standards or contract terms;
    - Assessment of the level of marriage and analysis of the causes of its occurrence, development of technical and technological and organizational and economic measures to prevent and eliminate it;
    - practical mastering of modern methods of control, measurement, testing and quality management, operation of instrumentation;
    - Development of local verification schemes for types and means of measurement, verification, calibration, repair and alignment of measuring instruments;
    - definition of the nomenclature of the measured and controlled parameters of production and technological processes; 
    - establishment of optimal standards of measurement accuracy and reliability of control; choice of measuring, testing and control; 
    - participation in the development of plans, programs and methods of measurement, testing and control, instructions for use of equipment and other text documents included in the design, technological and operational documentation; 
    - research activities: 
    - study of scientific and technical information, domestic and foreign experience in the direction of research in the field of Metrology, standardization, certification and quality management;
    - participation in work on modeling processes and measuring instruments, testing, control using standard packages and automated design tools;
    - Conducting experiments using specified methods, processing and analyzing results, compiling descriptions of ongoing research, preparing data for compiling scientific reviews and publications;
    - Participation in the work on the compilation of scientific reports on the task completed and in the implementation of research and development results in the field of metrology, standardization, certification.
