You can participate if you belong to:
– academic staff;
– university alumni;
– postgraduate students;
– scientists and researchers;
– art community;
– English teachers;
– university international department staff.
The participants will receive a J-1 Visa, under the terms they must return to the home country after the end of their grant and work in the field of their activities, using the experience gained in the United States at least for 2 years.
Grants provide full payment trip to the United States: transportation costs, academic payments or internships at American universities, monthly scholarship, medical insurance. Neither the grantee nor the Russian universities/organizations where grantee works or studies do not need to pay for the participation of candidates in the program. All grants are provided on the basis of an open competition results.
Requirements for grant applicants depend on the specific program. However there are common features for each of them:
1. Applicants can be only Russian citizens who domicile in Russia and do not have a residence permit in the United States.
2. Applicants must have good English, sufficient for training or project implementation.
3. If previously applicant received a J-1 Visa with a two-year restriction or received a grant under any other exchange with the United States program, he or she can apply for a Fulbright grant in 2 years after returning home.
