DON INSTITUTE STU-DSTU ESTABLISHED IN CHINA
Joint educational platform of Don State Technical University and Shandong Transport University – Don Institute STU-DSTU – is opened in Shandong province, China. Classes will be started in September 2019. Graduates will be awarded official Russian and Chinese higher education diplomas.

Dear friends! Today Don State Technical University is 89 years old! For many of us DSTU is more than just a higher education institution. Here we have not only studied, but also found mentors, met our friends, tried self-government, volunteering, become real leaders. The international business accelerator is a unique series of events expanding cooperation of young people in business, innovations exchange and investments attraction at the international level. In 2019, the project will be implemented jointly with Belarus, China and Uzbekistan.
DSTU ENTERED TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION RANKING
Times Higher Education company has developed a new ranking that takes into account universities impact on society. DSTU is included in the group of universities 301+.
SPECIALISTS FROM RUSSIA, POLAND, ITALY AND KAZAKHSTAN DISCUSSED DEVELOPMENT POSSIBILITIES OF COAL-MINING REGIONS
Roundtable discussions on "Strategic development and diversification of monotowns economy " and "Sustainable development of Monotowns: economic, social and environmental aspects" were held on February, 22, 2019 in DSTU. Head of the Commission for Regional Development and Local Self-Administration Leonid Shafirov, political scientist Jens Siegert became the moderators. The participants of the round tables discussed factors and aspects that can impact monotowns sustainable economic development.
EXPERTS FROM THE EUROPEAN UNION AND RUSSIA DISCUSSED PROBLEMS OF MONOTOWNS AT DSTU
The international conference "Diversification of the Economy of Monotowns on the Example of Coal Mining Regions" started at the university. Ambassador of the European Union to Russia Markus Ederer took part in the plenary session on modern trends and best practices of the development of monotowns in coal regions.
