The members of the UNISON project consortium from Portugal, Georgia, Russia and China took part in the seminar.
The speakers were academics from the leading universities in Portugal, which include the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, Polytechnic Institute of Setubal, Pedro Nunes Institute, University of Aveiro and representatives of the business community.
Don State Technical University and the Bologna club (BC) were represented by Irina Maevskaya, the Head of international education department, Director General of BC.
A three-day training workshop was devoted to the implementation, promotion and support of spin-off companies, study the existing methodology and strategy in this area.
During the seminar, the representatives from Pedro Nunes Institute and the Coimbra Polytechnic Institute shared their experience in implementing the spin-off companies.
The participants took part in trainings in such subjects as spin-off entrepreneurship, valorisation of knowledge and innovation, venture capital and the support of University spin-off companies.
The tasks, work plan for the spin-off models creation and were discussed and approved.
In addition, the members of the project consortium visited the center of bioengineering innovation "BIOCANT" (Cantanhede) and the Pedro Nunes Institute, where they discussed issues of promoting innovations and technology transfer, creation of relation between scientific-technical environment and the production sector.
