DSTU IS READY TO HELP IN SOLVING PROBLEMS OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS
On December 12, 2018, Don State Technical University hosted the II Regional scientific and practical conference "Problems and prospects of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) complex support in the Rostov region". It brought together more than 200 students from all over the Rostov region and expert speakers from Rostov-on-Don and Moscow. The Ministry of education of the Rostov region, Rostov boarding school № 42 and DSTU organized the event.
The conference was attended by people interested in improving the level of support for children diagnosed with autism. This includes government officials, managers, teachers, parents, doctors, and social workers. Traditionally, DSTU representatives also took part in the conference: Dean of the faculty "Psychology, pedagogy and defectology" Irina Abakumova, Head of Inclusive Education Department Inna Volodina and other staff of the University.

The conference included plenary session, round table, sections work. Experts stressed that timely assistance to the child can help a lot to adapt him or her to life in society, to learn to cope with fears, to control emotions and much more.
