    2.Aim of the programme
    2.1 The purpose of the educational program:
    Training of the new personnel, in the field of fire safety in industry, construction and transport through the formation of students General cultural, General professional and professional competencies in accordance with the requirements of the FSES, as well as the development of personal qualities: commitment, organization, diligence, responsibility, communication, tolerance, General culture. 

    2.2 Features of the program: 
    • Professional tasks which be solved by graduates are focused on design, service and operational, research and expert, supervisory, inspection and audit activities. The choice of features of a bachelor degree program realization is caused by needs of the regional labor market, research and material resources of chair. After completing the education program, the graduate is prepared for specific types of professional activities, including:
    • Planning of fire-prevention measures at various objects of industrial and social purpose economy;
    • Organization and control of implementation of planned fire-fighting measures at industrial and social facilities;
    • Organization and conduct of the fire condition inspections of the economy object;
    • Maintenance of fire protection systems and facilities, including primary means of extinguishing fires, control of their use;
    • Carrying out fire-technical inspection as a part of the commissions on acceptance into operation of production or social objects after construction or reconstruction; 
    • Representing the interests of the organization on fire safety issues in supervisory bodies;
    • Control of technical condition of automatic detection means and suppression of fires, primary means of fire extinguishing;
    • Issue of instructions to heads of divisions of the object for elimination of revealed violations of fire safety norms and rules;
    • Suspension of all or part of the work of objects, units, premises, certain types of work in the detection of violations that create a fire situation and threaten the safety of people;
    • Check of working condition of automatic fire protection systems (fire warning systems, smoke protection systems, fire extinguishing systems);
    • Overall guidance of the fire before the arrival of firefighters;
    • Control of performance of fire-prevention actions according to instructions, departmental fire supervision and authorized bodies of the power;
    • Examination of operational and tactical situation and management decisions on the organization and conduct of operational and tactical actions to extinguish fires and rescue operations;
    • Providing management and documentation support in the field of fire safety;
    • Analysis of the state of fire safety of equipment, buildings, structures and hazardous production facilities;
    • Work with staff to ensure the fire condition of the economy object;
    • Analysis of the fire-fighting condition of the organization internal control system;
    • Implementation of planned and unscheduled control units on fire safety.

     A student who has got competences full range of this education program can go into further academic study on 20.04.01 “Technosphere safety” field in the following master program: “Fire safety” , then 20.06.01 “Technosphere safety” field in the following phd program: “Fire and industrial safety”.

    5. Programme learning outcomes

    • participate in the preparation of design documentation of developed products and devices with the use of CAD in the field of fire safety;

    • participate in the development of fire safety requirements in the preparation of investment and project feasibility studies ;

    • identify areas of high technological risk ;

    • participate in the development of means of rescue and organizational and technical measures to protect territories from natural and man-made emergencies;

    • operate technical means of fire protection;

    • carry out monitoring of the state of fire protection;

    • operate safety controls;

    • correctly choose and apply the methods (systems) protection of man and environment during liquidation of emergency situations for specific conditions;

    • to draw up instructions for fire safety;

    • train workers and employees in fire safety requirements;

    • to participate in the organization of activities for the protection of human and habitat at the enterprise level in case of fire danger, as well as in emergency situations;

    • participate in the development of legal acts on fire safety at the level of production and social facilities;

    •  participate in research on the impact of anthropogenic factors and natural phenomena on industrial facilities.

    6.Education style (Teaching, learning, assessment) 

    6.1.Learning and teaching approaches
    The process of forming competencies involves the use of a set of methodological, strategic and tactical educational technologies. The lecture course includes both traditional, classical presentation of the material and dialogue, problem, practice-oriented, analytical lectures. Lectures are accompanied by illustrative, study and organize presentations.
    The active method of training is used on practical classes - advancing independent work, when students studying a new material before its statement by the teacher on lecture. Interactive forms of practical training in the discipline include problem and game training, including elements of business and role-playing games, computer simulations and modeling. Information and communication technologies are widely used in independent work of students. In the process of practical work, students participate in online discussions, make thematic crossword puzzles.
    6.2. Assessment methods
    Sets of test items, including electronic; sets of control questions for recitation on the materials of practical training; control questions for the exam and offset; subjects of course works and projects; criteria for assessing the results of the development of the discipline. State final certification completes the training and includes the state exam and defense of the final qualifying work.
